Strap in, folks! We just got a sneak peek at a fresh (and final 2023!) batch of Aldi finds and the gifts doth runneth over — as in we need a second tree to fit everything under. Cinnamon swirl pastries that may just turn you into a “breakfast person,” loaded tots you’ll want to load up on, and holiday snacks, apps, sips, and sweets to help close out the year and ring in a new one. And that’s just some of what you can expect in this list and on shelves.
There are dozens of new everyday staples and festive items coming to an Aldi near you. These are the 10 we’re most excited about.
1. Specially Selected Mini Cinnamon Swirl Pastries, $4.99
Aldi sells some of the best — and our favorite — cinnamon rolls around in its bakery section. So we have high hopes for these cinnamon-swirled flaky pastries. Find them in the freezer section December 6 — a date so close we can (almost) taste it.
2. Season’s Choice Island Medley Fruit Blend, $5.99
If you can’t go to the tropics, why not bring them to you? Right? Right! Available in two varieties, aptly named Island Medley (mango, strawberry, kiwi) and Paradise Fruit Blend (mango, dragon fruit, avocado, and passion fruit), the frozen blends will perk up your pancakes, baked goods, and more. Available December 27.
3. Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Rising Crust Pizza, $4.99
Crust lovers, this ‘za is for you. On top of the rising (!) base, literally, is an abundance of favorites: chicken, spinach, garlic, and what are we forgetting… oh yeah, the cheeeeese. Find this future dinner in the freezer section on lucky December 13.
4. Season’s Choice Colorful Cauliflower Florets, $2.29
If you somehow missed these vibrant gems last month, the good news is: Starting December 20, the medley of cauliflower or carrots will be back in an Aldi freezer section near you. Shortly after, we highly recommend you stock up on a bag or two for holiday-level sides any day of the week.
5. Simply Nature Black Bean Corn Tortilla Chips, $2.99
Made with black beans, flaxseeds, corn, and sea salt, these tortilla chips will bring the flavor and crunch to a whole lot of favorites. Of course, you can set them out with your creamy dips and spreads, load them up with your favorite toppings, add them to soups, or crush them into a coating for meat and fish. They’re available December 27.
6. Season’s Choice Loaded Potato Tots, $3.99
Speaking of loaded, these frozen tots are a party in a box. In fact, we predict these crispy hash brown potato bites mixed with cheese and a hint of bacon will be the first to go at your New Year’s hang. Find them — and a cheesy jalapeño version — in the freezer section December 27.
7. Southern Grove Savory Nut Trio, $9.99
What is it about a bowlful of mixed nuts that feels so special? Another holiday spectacular back in action on December 6, we get not one, but three different mixes in this nut trio (hence the name): Rosemary Almonds, Preferred Nut Mix (almonds, pecans, cashews), and Sicilian Snack Mix (almonds, peanuts, Sicilian pistachios, seeds, crisps).
8. Specially Selected Cold Smoked Salmon Trio, $12.99
Another trio available just in time for the end-of-year holidays. Inspired by beloved boozy drinks, the smoked salmon comes in three flavors: Red Wine, Old Fashioned, and Mojito. New Year’s Day brunch just got a whole lot more interesting. Find them in the fridge section on December 20.
9. Bake Shop Gingerbread Cookie Sandwiches, $4.79
Heading to a holiday party? These super-soft gingerbread sandwich cookies (stuffed with a cream cheese filling) are hitting stores well ahead of the official festivities — December 13, a full 11 days! Stack them on an adorable serving tray and watch how quickly people swoon.
10. Holiday Magic 5 Days of Dry Red Wine, $19.99
We’ll take multiple mini bottles of wine over one large bottle any day. Gift this box to your friend who always reaches for red (even in the dead of summer). Individually, they also make for fun stocking stuffers or place setters. Find them in stores December 6.
