Cake Mix – This recipe is made with red velvet cake mix, you’ll want to ensure you use a 15.25 oz box of cake mix. You can use other flavors to change this recipe up, try Funfetti or Devil’s Food cake!
Add-Ins – White chocolate chips add sweetness and color contrast to red velvet cookies. Any small candies, nuts or dried fruit can be mixed in at Step 2.
Variations – For a dramatic-looking red velvet cookie, sprinkle the tops with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, sprinkles, or even a Hershey’s Kiss!

4 Ingredient Red Velvet Cookies
Red Velvet Cookies come out perfectly soft and chewy every time!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Total Time 13 minutes
- 1 box red velvet cake mix (15.25 oz size)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup white chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a medium bowl, mix the cake mix, eggs, and oil with a spoon. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Drop by heaping spoonfuls on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Bake for 9-11 minutes or until they are set.

Cool for 3 minutes on the pan and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
If desired, use a cookie scoop to get even sized cookies.
To keep cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
